Teamwork

This couple. And this song. Because they're a team.

I want something like this. Though I realize how I come to it would probably be different, much different: I haven't done any solo gallivanting across the country lately, so far as I know Excalibur isn't missing (leastways, it doesn't have to be returned to Arthur any time soon), and one could hope that I won't be at odds with my future spouse the moment we meet (nor him trying to get rid of me).

But some things might be the same: I can prattle on a bit, he might be blind, and we might sing together. One can never tell ahead of time for sure.

If you're single or dating, what characteristic do you want most in your potential marriage relationship? If you are married, what characteristic of you and your spouse together do you enjoy most?

  1. I may have told you this story before, but the day before my wedding, I was riding in the car with my dad, and he asked if I was scared or nervous. I told him no, not at all. In fact it felt to me as though my whole life was spread out wide open in front me. I had no idea what I was going to encounter in life, where I'd go, or exactly what I'd do, but I knew that Norman would always be there with me. I'd always have my best friend with me, and I'd never have to face anything alone.

That's clearly not specific to Norman, or to me. But that's the thing about marriage, as far as I'm concerned. There's always someone on your team.

And then it makes you break into song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-nmiZjK4MI
